Manchester United were drawn against Fenerbahce in the Europa League group stage, giving Robin van Persie a reunion with his former employers.

Van Persie will also come up against another former team in Feyenoord in a tough-looking Group A for United.

Dutchman Van Persie left United for Fenerbahce in July 2015 after scoring 48 goals in 78 Premier League starts in three seasons at Old Trafford, winning the league in 2012-13.

Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk are the fourth team in the Group. The city of Luhansk is in rebel-controlled territory near to the Russian border so the team play their matches in Zaporizhia, near Dnipro.

Southampton were drawn in Group K alongside Italian club Inter Milan, Sparta Prague of the Czech Republic and Hapoel Be’re Sheva of Israel.
