From China jailing more journalists than any other country to Norwegians having a serious infatuation with pizza, there’s a lot you probably don’t know about the world…
Did you know that China has the most jailed journalists in the world? Or that Spain has incredible LGBT+ tolerance? How about the fact that Rwanda has the most women in parliament, or that no country has as many pizza eaters as Norway?
There’s a lot to know about the world, facts one wouldn’t ordinarily be confronted with in daily life. Fortunately, InformationIsBeautiful.net produced a stunning world map which visually displays what each country is best known for.
Reportedly, the data was collected from the World Bank, United Nations, and other sources. Then, the data was divided into nine categories (commodity, psychology, ecology, gastronomy, economy, nicety, humanity, technology, and nasty) and was assigned to each individual state (excluding the very small ones). The values are based on “mostly per capita” or “% of the population”.
From the U.S.A. being best at spam emails to Hungary having the most porn stars, there’s a lot you probably didn’t know about how the world functions. More information at informationisbeautiful.net.
